En The Spanish School of Abu Dhabi conmemoramos el Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia con una jornada dedicada a visibilizar el papel de la mujer en el ámbito científico y tecnológico.
El evento contó con la presencia del Excmo. Sr. Emilio Pin, Embajador de España en los EAU, y de Doña Cecilia Cañas, Asesora Técnica de Educación en los EAU, cuya asistencia subrayó la relevancia institucional de esta conmemoración.
La jornada incluyó la participación de ACIEAU (Asociación de Científicos e Investigadores Españoles en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos), que presentó la exposición “Women Have the Formula”, así como las intervenciones de la Dra. Bárbara Lang-Lenton, la Dra. Ariadna Farrés (NASA y Proyecto Hipatia) y dos científicas emiratíes dedicadas a la investigación médica.
Nuestros alumnos participaron en talleres de programación, retos de ingeniería y actividades científicas, y tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer el robot de Boston Dynamics, presentado por NYU Abu Dhabi.
Una jornada de aprendizaje, inspiración y compromiso con la igualdad en la ciencia.

At The Spanish School of Abu Dhabi, we commemorated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science with a special event dedicated to highlighting the role of women in science and technology.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Emilio Pin, Ambassador of Spain to the UAE, and Ms. Cecilia Cañas, Technical Education Advisor in the UAE, whose attendance underscored the institutional significance of this commemoration.
The day also featured the participation of ACIEAU (Association of Spanish Scientists and Researchers in the UAE), who presented the exhibition “Women Have the Formula,” as well as inspiring contributions from Dr. Bárbara Lang-Lenton, Dr. Ariadna Farrés (NASA and the Hypatia Project), and two Emirati scientists dedicated to medical research.
Students engaged in programming workshops, engineering challenges, and scientific activities, and had the opportunity to meet the Boston Dynamics robot, presented by NYU Abu Dhabi.
